E-Counseling | Skype Sessions
Individual or Relationship Counseling

We cannot become what we want by remaining where we are.
— Max DePree

Thanks to the exponential growth in technology, e-counseling is a new way to receive counseling services for individuals who can't (or would prefer not to) make face-to-face sessions. It's a realistic, easy-to-use alternative that's effective, convenient, and confidential. Read more below or schedule your first e-session by contacting us here.

  1. Effective
E-Counseling (or online counseling) is shown to be just as effective as face-to-face counseling. While it may seem a little more impersonal for some, the reality is that it's still beneficial (and effective) for growth and change. It might sound funny to say, "I'm doing online counseling," but it still works.
  2. Convenient
E-Counseling is very convenient for some clients (but not all). Most people prefer and/or need in-house sessions, but for those who's schedules are chaotic, who don't have a ride during the time of available sessions, or who simply prefer to have their counseling sessions in the convenience of their own home, then e-counseling is the way to go.
  3. Confidential
While it may seem a little less confidential (because it's done online), e-counseling is done through a hippa-compliant and secure portal. For those who are interested in e-counseling, you'll be given directions for accessing the confidential portal upon scheduling.

A Quick E-Counseling Note

One thing to note about e-counseling is that it really isn't for every client. It definitely has it's perks, but some people really thrive in the face-to-face environment. Additionally, it's necessary for clients to have access to a webcam. The Counseling Hub requires that all clients have access to a webcam for the purposes of our counselors being able to pick up on the nuances of body language, facial expressions, and other subtle things that are lost without video. All of which might seem insignificant, but can give us (counselors) a vast and necessary amount of additional information.
