More often than not, folks still feel some sort of shame in reaching out. One of the reasons Tara founded The Counseling Hub was to diminish that sense of shame, to normalize the fact that all people struggle in some way during their lives, and to empower people to grow and heal in their own unique way.
The Counseling Hub is all about connecting, healing, and growing.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life. As a therapist, my goal is to foster a genuine and authentic experience that helps you meet your personal goals for self-improvement and development, and I do that by way of supporting you in your journey for growth, understanding, and self-acceptance. I’ve been told I’m a natural at “being where my feet are,” which basically means I’m very good at staying fully present during our interactions. My aim is to provide you with tools so you can find greater satisfaction in your daily life feel empowered, embrace your strengths, and celebrate your successes.
Five Fun Facts About Kacie
I am corgi-crazed!
I have my own pack. Who can resist their short little legs and their cute smiles! Sorry Kim Kardashian, but corgis win the award for best tail-sides. I am literally obsessed. Did I say obsessed?I love a great ballad.
I sing them loudly and proudly in the car. From Gainor to Gaga, Journey, Mariah, or Jewel, any song that really lets me belt it out! In my 20s, you could find me performing anywhere that had karaoke. Once when competing, I was the runner-up in the Missouri state karaoke completion.I started my college career at 31.
I entered the customer service industry out of high school and was successful, but felt something missing. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services in 2017 and then my Master in Education of Counseling in 2021. I found out I love learning (maybe in a bit of a nerdy way)!I have performed standup comedy.
Okay, it was amateur night, in a snowstorm, and no actual audience was there, so I got no laughs or applause, but I did it! I actually loved the spotlight in my youth. To this day, I’m always living in the moment and up for spontaneous fun.My wardrobe staple is the classic cardigan!
“It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood…” Two things I take from Mr. Rogers are a love for cardigans and kindness. I do have quite an extensive collection that includes at least 10 black cardigans of different varieties. But after that, we get into the various colors, styles, and occasion...I seriously have a problem!
