In Alexa’s Words (Blog Highlight)
These are common reasons people come into counseling. These are the reasons people seek help.
More often than not, folks still feel some sort of shame in reaching out. One of the reasons Tara founded The Counseling Hub was to diminish that sense of shame, to normalize the fact that all people struggle in some way during their lives, and to empower people to grow and heal in their own unique way.
The Counseling Hub is all about connecting, healing, and growing.
I see my role as a clinician as being a passenger in the car you are driving. You are in total control of the journey as the driver and I will be there providing empathic, compassionate support through all the windy and bumpy roads. Ultimately, this is your life and you get to decide what this ride looks like.

For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with the Royal Family. I have watched many documentaries on them, and yes, I have also watched The Crown. I especially love their fashion. My love of the family started with learning about Princess Diana and took off from there.I am a music lover.
Music has been a huge part of my life and has played a big role in helping me explore and express emotions. I played the violin growing up. I have not played since high school so no, I probably can’t play anything that doesn’t sound like cats fighting at this point. I can find music for any mood I am in. I am the queen of playlists for any occasion. I love most genres and enjoy going to concerts. I fact, I have seen Beyonce in concert five times and every time has been absolutely amazing.I am an avid reader.
Not only do I read a ton, I am the kind of person who has cataloged all the books on their shelf. I have a very nice spreadsheet of all the books I own and if I have read them or not. Please don’t ask how many books are unread. I may or may not have a problem with constantly buying books.
