My name is Sarah Gray. I’m a remote Clinical Therapist and Clinical Team Lead with the Counseling Hub and a licensed counselor in the state of Missouri.

You might be a good fit for me if you…

  • are struggling with panic attacks or obsessive/compulsive behaviors

  • have been feeling hopeless and not enjoying things you previously enjoyed, but want to feel better

  • are struggling with depression or grief

  • are experiencing low self-esteem and want to gain confidence

  • have difficulty with assertiveness, setting boundaries, or advocating for yourself

  • struggle with stabilizing your mood

  • are bothered by recent or past emotional, verbal, physical, or sexual abuse or trauma

  • are a survivor of domestic violence

  • struggle with substance abuse or addiction

  • have a chronic or terminal illness

pronouns: she/her

The above are common reasons people come into counseling. These are the reasons people seek help.

More often than not, folks still feel some sort of shame in reaching out. One of the reasons Tara founded The Counseling Hub was to diminish that sense of shame, to normalize the fact that all people struggle in some way during their lives, and to empower people to grow and heal in their own unique way.

The Counseling Hub is all about connecting, healing, and growing.

As your therapist, my goal is to provide you a safe space that’s built on a foundation of trust. I want you to feel comfortable both exploring your past and setting goals for your future. My role is to assist throughout your healing journey by providing insight, support, accountability, and relevant education in an effort to help you achieve wellness. I want to help empower you to resolve and remove issues that prevent you from being your most authentic self and from living your healthiest life.

Five Fun Facts About Sarah

  1. I’m a documentary fanatic.
Whether it’s true crime, educational, cultural or biographical; I've probably seen it. The more bizarre the subject matter, the more I’m intrigued. As a result of this obsession, I have a random and vast amount of knowledge and useless facts, all of which makes me a great trivia partner!

  2. My happy place is anywhere near water.
Ocean, lakes, rivers, creeks, waterfalls, pools, or even the bathtub. I find the sound of waves, water, and currents extremely calming and swimming is my favorite way to exercise.

  3. I love cooking for large events.
Whether it’s a barbecue or a holiday meal, I enjoy making massive amounts of soul food infused with love for my friends and family. I always make sure there’s enough food for everyone to have ‘to go’ plates because, let’s face it, leftovers are the best!

  4. I’m very interested in alternative forms of medicine and holistic approaches to healing.
I utilize acupuncture, massage, kinesiology, crystals, meditation, and essential oils for self-care. I really enjoy exploring and learning about alternative and natural methods that can assist in healing.

  5. I’m a dog person.
But I’m too busy to care for one full-time. Luckily, I have joint custody of my grand-dog, King (a gentle giant). He primarily lives with my son, but spends weekends at grandma's house when his dad has to work. King enjoys getting dog cones from Andy's Frozen Custard, playing in mud, and taking up the entire bed!
